SPECIFICATIONS:
The ATV4 Amateur Television Converter is designed to operate on the 33 CM band (902-928 MHz). The output of the ATV4 converter connects to the VHF antenna terminals on a "regular" TV set. The ATV signal can be viewed on channel 2, 3 or 4. The ATV4 circuitry consists of a low-noise pre-amplifier stage using the Motorola MRF966 GaAs-FET, two microstrip tuned MMIC amplifier stages for gain, a double-balanced mixer, a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) controlled by a Varicap diode (for remote tuning if desired), and a pre-IF amplifier stage for better matching into the TV receiver set. The VCO circuit includes a temperature compensation diode to reduce any frequency drift over temperature. The converter can be mounted at the receive antenna and tuned by a remote tuning potentiometer in order to minimize losses in the coax feedline at the higher frequencies. AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS:
PARTIAL KIT includes detailed step-by-step instruction manual, printed circuit board, and all electronic components which mount on printed circuit board. Partial Kit does not include heatsink, chassis, connectors, or hardware.
